This shrimp & cheese dip recipe is seriously addicting! If you are entertaining guests, or simply want an easy, yet delicious appetizer, make this one. You won’t regret it.
This is a recipe created by my son, who’s a very creative type. He served it over this holiday season and I couldn’t keep out of it.
What is a good shrimp appetizer to serve guests?
Shrimp & Cheese Dip Recipe
- 2 – 8oz packages of softened cream cheese
- 6 large splashes of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 t. finely minced garlic
- 2 T. finely minced onion
- 1/4 c. shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 c. baby shrimp, cooked & chilled
- Heinz chili sauce (not cocktail sauce)
Using an electric mixer, mix all ingredients except the chili sauce & shrimp, until smooth. Spoon this into a decorative bowl you plan to serve this in. Chill for an hour.
Right before serving, pour the chili sauce over the top, then add the baby shrimp. If you have guests that are either allergic to shrimp or don’t care for it, you can make a bowl without it.
Serve with your favorite crackers. What we used were the sun dried tomato Wheat Thins, and they were amazing with this shrimp & cheese dip recipe. You might also enjoy my posts – Host a Baked Potato Bar Get-Together and The BEST Homemade Hot Buttered Rum Recipe and Delicious Shepherd Pie Recipe.
